Same startup-items-problem here with Windows XP. It worked fine with an earlier release of VirtuaPlus, so it might be a general problem with the new version, not restricted to Windows 7.

Hi. I’ve just started using VirtuaWin and downloaded VirtuaPlus but misunderstood the program opening function.

I work concurrently with a lot of different programs and open them in specific desktops as and when I need them. I often end up with icons in the systray that I use to get to a program quickly when I am working in another desktop.

For example, Outlook is open on Desktop 1. I am working in Desktop 3. I check my emails by clicking on the mail icon and Outlook reopens in Desktop 3. What I need is for the desktop to change to Desktop 1 when I click on the icon.

Is this even possible? Great feature (for me).

Hi. Thanks for your app, it’s a very helpful tool. However, since switching to Windows 7, the startup items no longer open at startup. Any idea why this may be? It’s a fresh install on a Lenovo ThinkPad with no additional software that might interfere.

Don’t know how to run programs to different desktop, so second suggestion is not implemented.

I’d like to suggest the feature to add commandline parameters to the
ShellExecute function, so one could start

explorer.exe d:\temp on desktop 1 and
explorer.exe c:\win on desktop 2 …

A second suggestion is to add a toggle to start a program at the first
switch to the desktop (as seems to be now) vs. starting a program in
the background from the beginning.
So at the start of VirtuaWin the email program could be loaded in desktop 1,
while the browser already loads on desktop 2 etc… no need to wait until
the actual switch.

Nice added feature to Virtuawin.

But is there a possibility to combine it with a tool that automatically swaps pictures on the virtual desktop which is currently in view?
