How do you set up different backgrounds for different desktops? I tried selecting another image for desktop 2, but it was changed for all desktops. I tried bot VirtualPlus and the XP background selector.

I tried to run your module (on Vista) and it just runs and stops with no error message. Is there something I am doing wrong?

@Ville: please check you’re using the latest VirtuaPlus version.

@Matthew: you don’t have to run it. Instead load it via VirtuaWin.

To show backgrounds for desktop 1,2,3 or 4, I have to use F5 or refresh, every time. Why? I’m not Administrator on my account.

I am using version 1.1 on Vista 64. My results are the same as Ville, I tried selecting another image for desktop 2, but it was changed for all desktops.

Can you describe exactly how to set the different desktop images? I have VirtuaPlus 1.1 under VirtuaWin 4.0.1 On WinXP/home on my 1024×600 Eee UMPC. I switch the desktop to something other than 1, MB2 on virtuaWin in tray, pick ‘Setup’, click ‘Modules’ tab. Select ‘virttuaPlus’ from Modules list, and click ‘Configure’ button, getting dialog titled, ‘VirtuaPlus settings for “two” – Configure’. I check the ‘Custom Background/Enable (Global Setting)’ box, and select a *.bmp file in the ‘background Image:’ selection box. Click ‘Apply’, and ‘OK’ to close dialog. Back in ‘VirtuaWin – Setup/Modules’, with VirtuaPlus selected in the Module List, I click the ‘Reload’ button. I see a text box appear that says, ‘Starting VMPlus’, and I cycle through the screens with hotkeys. None of the background images are any different, all are the same as the system setting. Help

Hi all! Here is a brief HOWTO:

Load VirtuaWin with VirtuaPlus enabled, enter VirtuaWin Setup, then for each Desktop repeat these steps:
    - switch to Desktop X
    - select VirtuaPlus, then Configure
    - enable custom background
    - select image
    - CLICK OK to save changes (and to close Configure)

This is tested and working fins with JPG images on WinXP 32b and Vista 64b.

@zdravko, I tried again exactly as you stated and I still see no change in the desktop images. I tries exiting VirtuaWin and restarting and see no changes with it started or not. However, I have noticed that the image I select in VirtuaWin/VirtuaPlus is displayed briefly when i shut the system down, after the Explorer process terminates but before the system halts. Please let me know if there is anything more I can to to help debugging.
